Red Hawks Facilities
The Simpson University athletics teams have various different homes for its 23 varsity sports. On campus, the Red Hawks compete at the James M. Grant Center as the main gym, the baseball and softball field, the practice field, and the weight room for the students.
Off campus, the Red Hawks competes at the California Soccer Park, Shasta College, Bill Johnson Community Stadium (Foothill High School), Gold Hills Golf Club, and sand volleyball courts.
*Alcohol and drugs are prohibited from all Simpson University events.
Bill Johnson Community Stadium (Foothill High School)
Our Football team plays its home games at the Bill Johnson Community Stadium at Foothill High School. The stadium features two parking lots, a restroom, and metal bleacher stands on both side of the field.

Riverview Country Golf Club
Our Men's and Women's Golf teams practice and plays at Riverview Country Golf Club in Redding, CA. The country club features a club house and a 18-hole course that over looks the Sacramento River.

James M. Grant Center
The James M. Grant Center opened in 1996 and serves as the home for Red Hawk basketball, volleyball, and wrestling teams. The multi-purpose facility holds two full sized courts as well as three locker rooms, a training room and laundry facility. In the summer of 2019 the gym was renovated to include a brand new floor, new scoreboards, and a state of the art video LED display. In addition to the sporting events, the gym serves as home for campus chapels, musical events, and other large community events and conferences.

Shasta College Aquatics Facility
Our new Swim and Dive programs practice and compete at Shasta College's Aquatics Facility. The facility includes two heated pools with 16 lanes and a 3m and 1m diving boards.

Shasta College Track and Field Facility
Our new Track and Field teams also practice and competes at Shasta College's Track and Field Facility. The facility includes a track, long jump, high jump and shot areas.

Simpson Practice Field
Home of the Simpson Red Hawks men's and women's soccer teams until 2023. Built in 2000, the field is often considered one of the best in the Cal Pac. The field has a scoreboard on the north end of the field and has shaded bleachers at mid field that provides a wonderful experience to those who attend. Both benches are also shaded. It is now home to the practice field of the Red Hawks football team with occasional use from the soccer teams.

Simpson Softball Field
The Simpson Softball Field was built in 2001 as home of the Simpson University softball team. The field has a scoreboard, batting cages, and has been the host site of the California Pacific Conference Softball Tournament for numerous years. Directly next to the softball field is a full-sized batting cage that is currently used by both baseball and softball teams.

Simpson Baseball Field
The baseball field is located on the campus of Simpson University. The first game was played on April 15, 2023. The field includes a batting cage, stadium lights, a scoreboard, and two bullpens. Also, there is a large steel bleachers behind the back stop. The nearest bathroom includes a porter potty by the entrance of the field and fully furnished bathrooms in the nursing building/library across from the parking lot.

Weight Room
Simpson University’s weight room was reopened in the fall of 2016 after a complete renovation with features that include five full weight benches, TRX bands, medicine balls, free weights, and kettle bells. The weight room has been fully renovated and enlarged in 2024 to hold more racks and benches.

California Soccer Park
Simpson University men's and women's soccer team have called the California Soccer Park home since 2024. The Soccer Park is an all turf field with a combination of three different fields. The first field is home to the Red Hawks game day events while the two back fields are practice fields. The Soccer Park has two restrooms, a snack bar, and occasional food trucks while local events are being hosted.

Sand Volleyball Courts
Simpson University's beach volleyball team practices and plays at the Sand Volleyball Courts at Lake Redding Park. It features a men and women's bathroom, two sand courts, and one medium sized bleacher.
