The Eagles' last gasp came within the final 30 seconds of regulation as they pulled within three. But the Red Hawks' defense prevailed as Nichols and Bowles converted on free throws to secure the 63-58 victory.
Simpson showed grit as they faced foul trouble for much of the game, as they had two players foul out while three others had four personal fouls.

Monet Dunham and Nichols each posted a team-high eight rebounds.
