SIOUX FALLS, Iowa - The women's basketball team ended their season tonight at the National Stage as they fell to No. 1 in the nation, Dordt, 120-47.
The Defenders proved why they are the No. 1 team in the nation as they displayed true dominance, taking the commanding 39-15 lead after one quarter of play before extending their lead to 53 points as they took the 73-20 lead into halftime.
Dordt held the Simpson offense in check as they allowed the Red Hawks to shoot 28% as a team from the floor compared to 72.9% for the Defenders in the first half.
The Defenders proved too much for the Red Hawks as they outscored Simpson 47-27 in the second half to cruise to the 120-47 victory.
In her final game as a Red Hawk,
Anna Marshall posted a team-high 14 points and five rebounds.
Andrea Perez and
Moriah Bowles followed close behind as they each notched eight points.
With the loss, Simpson says goodbye to 2025-26 Cal Pac Player of the Year
Anna Marshall,
Haily Garcia, and
Cerina Nguyen.
Simpson looks to grow off its historic season that saw them claim the Cal Pac regular season title and Conference Tournament Championship.
