Red Hawks falls on road to Corban to wrap up play in Oregon

SLAEM, Ore. - The men's soccer team wrapped up its Oregon road trip today as they fell to Corban 2-0.

The Red Hawks and Warriors went head-to-head in the first half as they held each other off the board for the first 45 minutes of play.

The Warriors outshot Simpson 5-4, but neither team could find the back of the net as Simpson goalkeeper Jacopo Trolese picked up one save.

Corban drew first blood in the 67th minute as they took advantage of a penalty kick opportunity. But the Warriors struck again soon after as they added an insurance goal in the 71st minute.

The Warriors' defense held the Simpson attackers at bay in the second half as they collected just three shots.

Trolese took the loss in the post as he recorded one save on the day. Moving to 0-3-0 in the young season.

A total of four yellow cards had been issued by the officials to both teams as Simpson collected two cards in the 67th and 72nd minutes.

Simpson looks to bounce back next week, Thursday, Sept. 4th at 1 pm in Ashland, Oregon.
