CARMEL, Calif. - The Simpson golf team wrapped up play in the PCH Invitational held at the Quail Lodge Golf Resort hosted by Menlo College.
The men's team dazzled as they took home first-place honors with the five-man team of
Justin Kiester,
Trey Alwert,
Ty Salvador,
Owen Winton, and
Drew DeGeorge.
Simpson dominated as they owned the top two placers in the tournament with Kiester the only individual on the men's side to shoot under par.
Kiester highlighted the men's side as he earned a first-place finish with a -4 under while shooting -2 under on both days of the tournament.
Alwert followed close behind with a second-place finish as he shot +3 over the two days.
The boy's squad rounded out with Salvador placing 16th, Winton 18th, and DeGeorge with a 26th place finish.
The men's team finished eight stroked over the next best school to take home the PCH title under Head Coach
Jason Deaver as they tangled with DII schools, Jessup, Menlo, and Westmont.
Simpson had two girls on the women's side,
Michelle Euan and
Addison Jones.
Euan placed placed 10th while Jones earned a 16th place finish amongst 17 other golfers.
The Red Hawks look to keep it rolling as they take part in the Brandon Match Play in Eugene, OR next weekend.
