REDDING, Calif. – Simpson opened the game with a three from Aidan Rolfs, giving the Red Hawks an early spark. Timothy Parker kept Simpson in rhythm with a jumper, followed by a three from Jack Jillson.

Simpson continued trading baskets and held a slim lead midway through the half behind solid rebounding from Michael Wood and Rolfs, who combined for seven boards in the first half.

Corban closed the first half with a decisive 11–0 run, shutting down the Red Hawks' momentum and taking control heading into the break.

Simpson tried to regain footing early in the second half, highlighted by a transition dunk from Parker off a feed from Nian Allen.

The Red Hawks made another push late as Parker continued attacking the rim, finishing with a team-high 22 points as he went 10-18 from the floor, including 16 second-half points, but Corban controlled the glass and closed the game with 36-22 points in the paint.

Rolfs finished with nine points and nine rebounds, Allen added eight points, and Jillson scored seven points with three boards. 

Simpson will go on the road on Wednesday to face Chico State at 3 p.m. PST. The following week, the Red Hawks return home to host Cal Maritime in the James M. Grant Center.
