FRESNO, Calif. - The 2024 Simpson University cross country team kicked off its season this past Saturday in the Seawolf Invite that took part at Woodward Park in Fresno, CA. 

Although just two out of the six girls traveled and competed in the Seawolf Invite, Jewelia Zaragoza had a standout performance and improved her average pacing by nearly a minute per mile faster than last year. 

On the men's side, the Red Hawks got a strong start to begin the season as Cade Salcedo led the group by finishing in the middle of the pack that saw 85 other runners. 

The Red Hawks look to be back in action this Saturday, September 14th at Stanislaus State as they partake in the Kim Duyst Twilight Invite."
