CALDWELL, Ida. - The men's soccer squad fell on the road against the College of Idaho today, 3-0. 

The Yotes took the first shot of the game in the 8th minute on a shot that missed high over the post. 

The Red Hawks looked to scratch its first score on the board in the 10th minute on a shot taken by Adrien Martinez but the Yotes keeper kept the game scoreless. 

Both teams played stellar defense as the Red Hawks turned away five shots by the Yotes. 

But the Yotes got on the board right before the half as they scored the first goal of the game to break the 0-0 ball game. 

The Yotes came out firing as they took four shots to begin the half as Simpson goalkeeper Jesus Montoya picked up his first save of the game in the 52nd minute. 

However, the Yotes padded its lead in the 59th and 75th minute on goals to make it 3-0 Yotes. 

The College of Idaho defenders played stellar defense as they allowed one shot by the Red Hawks in the second half to preserve the shutout. 

Adrien Martinez, Gio De La Torre, and Dylan Sides each notched one shot on goal for the game. 

Jesus Montoya took the loss in the post as he picked up three saves on the day. 

Simpson looks to bounce back tomorrow as they take on Eastern Oregon University at 3 pm to round out its road trip.
