ROCKLIN, Calif. - The women's squad is coming off a convincing win against Pacific Union College this past Tuesday as they took on DII opponent William Jessup University tonight. 

Tessa Kinney picked up the first points of the night for Simpson as she drilled a three-pointer to give Simpson the early lead. 

Kinney stayed hot as she owned the Red Hawk's first seven points as she followed the opening three-ball with back-to-back buckets to tie the game at seven. 

A free throw by Katie Cuchman gave Simpson the 8-7 lead before the Warriors went on an 11-0 run to take the first-quarter lead 18-8. 

It proved to be all Warriors as they suffocated the Red Hawks offense as they never lost the lead and went into the half with a commanding 41-13 lead. 

The Warriors continued to stay hot as they outscored the Red Hawks in the second half to take the 93-35 victory. 

Tessa Kinney and Katie Cushman led the Simpson offense with eight points each as they combined for 16 points and five rebounds. 

Haily Garcia had a solid game off the bench as she notched seven points to go along with eight rebounds as she shot 60% from the floor. 

Simpson looks to bounce back and be road warriors as they hit the road for the next five games, starting with a road matchup against Lincoln University Saturday, December 7th at 5 pm.
