MCMINVILLE, Ore. - The Red Hawks traveled North to compete in Oregon at the Linfield University's George Oja Invitational.
The meet included a variety of schools ranging from DI, DII, DIII, and other top NAIA schools from around the country.
Simpson's young crew fought hard and came away with a lot of personal records to finish the regular season.
Joy Taylor earned a 20-second PR and
Jewelia Zaragoza earned a 30-second PR as well.
A few other Red Hawk runners had strong performances on the women's team, including
Nieva Parsons who ran her first-ever meet for the Red Hawks
Delany Milsaps debuted her season as she has been spending time off in recovery.
Joy Jeremiah came over from the women's wrestling team and added some hard-earned numbers in her first-ever cross-country race.
On the men's side,
Cade Salsedo led the charge with a massive PR of besting his time by over a minute.
The rest of the men's team produced solid efforts with the men's wrestling team joining the race as well.
Simpson looks to be back in action on Monday, October 28th in Fresno, CA for the Cal Pac Championships.
