REDDING, Calif. - Simpson University women's soccer hosted Golden State Athletic Conference opponent, William Jessup on Saturday morning. Both teams put together impressive defensive performances as the match ended in a 0-0 draw.
Simpson came into the match on the heels of a couple of tough losses to top opponents in the NCAA and NAIA, Holy Names and College of Idaho. The Red Hawks prioritized the defense withstanding 16 total shots from Jessup, but only four on goal. The shutout is the Red Hawks 4th of the year in just six matches so far.

Iris Van Dalfsen was the most dangerous Red Hawk with two shots and one on goal against the Warriors.
SU will scrimmage Shasta College later this week before conference play gets underway on Friday, September 9th against La Sierra University. Kickoff is set for 12 PM at the Simpson Soccer Field.
