PASADENA, Calif. - Last Friday, SU women's volleyball fought hard, taking Providence to five sets and picking up their first road win of the season.
The Sea Beggars would come out strong taking the first two sets 25-18 and 25-23. However, the Red Hawks were not going to lay down easily.
In set three, SU dominated beating Providence Christian 25-14. They would go on to beat Providence in sets four and five; 25-19 and 16-14.
Tiana Nihipali would finish the five sets with 19 kills which would help the Red Hawks achieve a season high of 55 total kills.
Kendall Welpott and
Emilly Melo would have quite the game as well, both finishing with 18 digs each.
After seven games on the road straight, the Red Hawks will be back on their home court this week.
They will take on La Sierra this Thursday, September 15th at 6 PM, and University of Antelope Valley this Friday, September 16th at 7 PM.
