REDDING, Calif. - The Simpson Wreslting Team commits Tomas Jacobo this past week.

Jacobo comes from Eastlake High School in San Diego, California.

According to Coach Rod Forseth, the addition of Jacobo is a big boost for the team in the 141/149 weight class with his leadership qualities and athletic skills. Jacobo is a 2021 CIF Champion and received the 2022 Metropolitan Conference Wrestler MVP Award. Jacobo was also a 2022 California State Qualifier as well. 

Jacobo says he chose Simpson because he is someone who is very religious himself and loves that Simpson puts God first. He also chose Simpson because of the biology program which aligns with his goals of going into the medical field one day. He enjoys the family environment that Simpson has and is excited to spend his next four years at SU.
