REDDING, Calif. - Simpson men's hoops put on another impressive showing Thursday night in the Grant Center beating Pacific Union College, 83-62.
The Red Hawks jumped out to an early lead over PUC as they took a 18-point advantage into the intermission and extended their lead in second 20 minutes.
Drew Ubas led the Red Hawks in the scoring column, finishing with 19 points off the bench in only 19 minutes.

Weston VandenHazel were close behind, each finishing with 16 points. Simpson's leading scorer
Gary Mims had an off-shooting night, but contributed elsewhere and still grabbed a double-double with 11 points and 11 boards.
Simpson is currently tied for the best record in the conference at 5-2 with Cal Maritime and Benedictine-Mesa, and as the regular season winds down, the hunt for a top playoff spot is on.
The Red Hawks have five conference games remaining, two against Cal Maritime including this Saturday, February 5th as SU heads to Vallejo, CA to face the Keelhaulers in a clash for first place. Tip-off is set for 7:30 PM.
