VALLEJO, Calif. - Simpson University women's basketball's season came to a close Sunday night after falling to Park-Gilbert, 75-51.
The Red Hawks had a one point lead heading into the intermission, but a huge run by the Buccaneers in the 3rd quarter proved devastating. Park-Gilbert outscored Simpson 24-7 in 3rd quarter.
All-Conference second teamer,
Breesia Northern led the Red Hawks in scoring with 16 points and
Sandra Berrocal added 15 for SU.
Simpson's season concludes with the loss, but the Red Hawks impressive five-game winning streak near the end of the conference regular season is enough to show that the program is heading in the right direction under Coach Mendez in his first season.
