REDDING, Calif. - Simpson U men's basketball recorded its first win of the season on Saturday night, taking down Walla Walla University on the road, 81-69.
With the victory, the Red Hawks improve to 1-1 on the young season with the only loss coming narrowly to 6th-ranked William Jessup University last weekend.
Javonntie Jackson was the star for Simpson on the night recording a double-double with a game-high 24 points and 11 rebounds. He also got involved defensively with four steals. Aaron Burt also tallied a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Todd Franklin's team recorded points, putting the roster's depth on display. The Red Hawks' largest lead of the night was 23 with just under eight minutes remaining in the game.
Simpson will continue its road trip when they face Northwest Indian College in Bellingham, WA on Monday, November 7th before battling with Portland Bible College on the following day.
