REDDING, Calif. - The Simpson Women's Basketball Team will play on its home court for the first time this season, but the game is also significant for another reason.
Simpson Alum and former long time head women's basketball coach, Derrick Pringle Jr., is returning to the campus with his current team to take on SU
Pringle spent 13 years as the head coach of the Lady Red Hawks before moving to Kansas to become the head coach at Bethel College.
Simpson in entering the contest with a win already under its belt, beating Bethesda in the first game of the season last week.Â
SU is coming off of a 5-6 conference record and a trip to the Cal Pac Tournament last year under the direction of Edgar Mendez in his first season as head coach. With one season down, Mendez is looking to improve on last year's record and make another trip to postseason, a conference title being the end goal.Â
Simpson and Bethel will face off on November 4th at 7 PM in the James M. Grant Center.Â
