REDDING, Calif.— At Simpson University's Annual Business Luncheon, Dr. Hall concluded
the event by announcing the official decision to launch a football program.

After two years of careful study, research and critical conversations with students, faculty, staff,
and community members, Simpson University has made the decision to launch a football
program. The program will begin in the fall of 2023 with a scrimmage season and then begin full
conference play during the fall of 2024.  The University believes starting a football program will
deliver a potent impact on our campus and our community for the foreseeable future. We are
committed to a program that is rich in both faith and academic pursuits, and one that puts us on
the map as a university on the move.

continue to grow and develop new athletics and educational programs.
