On a two-match road trip where Simpson traveled to Merced and then to San Marcos, the Red Hawks were only able to come away with just a point.
SU fell to Merced, 2-0 last Thursday and despite taking nine shots and six of them being on goal, the Red Hawks were unable to find net. The game remained scoreless until the 68th minute when the Bobcats went ahead. They added another goal just five minutes later helping close the match out.
In the draw with Saint Kat's, the Red Hawks recorded their 3rd clean sheet of the season but again Simpson couldn't break the goal line despite dominating possession and outshooting Saint Katherine 19-4.
The Red Hawks return to conference action on the road to Cal Maritme and then immediately after a non-conference fixture with UC Santa Cruz. Simpson currently sits in 5th place in the Cal Pac with two matches remaining.
