Box Score 2 REDDING, Calif. - Simpson Women's Volleyball falls in two of their three scheduled games this past week. SU fell to Saint Kat's three sets to one on Thursday, three sets to none against Westcliff on Friday, and did not get to play Saturday's game against Providence Christian on Saturday due to unforeseen circumstances.
Thursday, Oct. 20th, in set number one against Saint Katherine, SU came out cold losing set one 25-12. However set two was much closer and the Red Hawks would only lose by two points, 25-23. In set number three, the Lady Red Hawks fought hard and won, 25-19. Unfortunately, after the excitement of winning set three, SU would lose to Saint Kat's in set number four.
Mallory Swenson led the team in kills, finishing the night with 10 and
Tiana Nihipali would lead her team in blocks with four on the night.
Friday against Westcliff, SU would take the lead first in set one but would end up losing 25-17. In set two, despite leading by as much as four points, the Red Hawks would fall to the Warriors, 25-20. Set number three would be the final set of the match and Simpson would lose to Westcliff, 25-20, in the end. The Red Hawks would end the game with 24 kills and four aces on the night.
Saturday's game against Providence Christian was scheduled to be played at 1 PM on Oct. 22nd, but unfortunately, was cancelled until further notice.
The Red Hawks will play their last home game of the season on Saturday, November 5th at 7:30 PM against Pacific Union College.
