REDDING, Calif. - The Men's Soccer Team faced Antelope Valley over the weekend, shutting down the Pioneers with a 1-0 win. 

The Red Hawks got shots off in within the first five minutes of the game and landed the lone goal in the 25th minute.

Michel Hampe is credited with finding the back of the net, with Joel Sterling getting the assist. 

Both teams got shots off in the second half, but it was a battle of the goalies as neither team was able to capitalize. 

Daniel Morales recorded four saves for the game and did not allow the Pioneers to get a single goal.

The Red Hawks have moved up in the conference standings, now sitting in third place. SU holds a conference record of 5-2-1 and an overall record of 5-3-3.

Simpson will take on UC Merced on the road on October 20th at 7 PM.
