MERCED, Calif. - Simpson University women's soccer suffered its first conference lost to UC Merced on Wednesday, 4-1.

The Bobcats scored three times in first half and had a 3-0 lead at the half.

Caroline Forseth was the only Red Hawk to score a goal after Mackenzie Beringer found Forseth in front of goal.

Merced outshot Simpson 27-7, but the Red Hawks held their own against the last undefeated team in the conference.

SU remains 2-1 in the Cal Pac and will face Antelope Valley next week as conference play continues.
