REDDING, CA - Simpson men's soccer recorded its second win of the season on Friday defeating the Bushnell Beacons 2-1.

After Bushnell took the lead in the first half off a Kyle Aure goal in the 20th minute, Simpson was able to equalize and then take the lead with two second-half goals.

Diego Alvarez scored in the 57th and 75th minutes of the match notching the brace. The Red Hawks dominated the second half of play outshooting BU 15 to one with nine total shots on goal for the match.

The two goals were assisted by Christian Meza and Christian Guevara, both finding Alvarez with space to find the back of the net.

SU improves to 2-1 on the season and will remain home to face Oregon Tech on Sunday at 2 PM at the Redding Soccer Park.
