Women's Volleyball Drops Series with Bushnell University

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 REDDING, CA - Simpson U women's volleyball dropped a two-game series with Bushnell University over the weekend, 3-0, 3-1.

In the second match, the Red Hawks rallied after dropping the first set to win set two, but the Beacons consistency was a major factor in holding off Simpson.

For the first time this season the Red Hawks had three attackers finish with double-digit kills led by Lily Johnson and Kendall Welpott who each had 11. Ashley Collins notched 10 kills.

Emily Hansen was a key contributor for SU as she recorded a career-high 42 assists in the match. Maddy Adams led SU defensively with 12 digs followed by Olivia Turner with nine.

The Red Hawks will begin conference play when they take on Pacific Union in a doubleheader next Sunday at 4 and 7 PM
