REDDING, Calif. - Women's Basketball was home over the weekend facing Oregon Tech and Menlo, falling short in both games.
On Friday, the Red Hawks took on the Owls from OIT.
The first half was a tight 20 minutes, Simpson only trailing by one at halftime.
In the second half, the Red Hawks were unable to keep it a close game, ultimately falling, 68-51.
Breesia Northern led SU in scoring with 16 points.
Tymiko Patterson had 11 points, followed by
Ariadna Rubio with seven.
Kayla Gairns racked up three steals followed by
Breesia Northern with two.
Simpson faced Menlo on Saturday in a tight game.
The Red Hawks outscored the Oaks in two of the four quarters. The first quarter, 14-9 and the third quarter, 15-14.
It wasn't enough to close out the game, SU falling 59-52.
Sandra Berrocal led the team in scoring Saturday night with 17 points.
Breesia Northern had 13, followed by
Ellie Hamel with nine and
Tymiko Patterson with eight.
Tymiko Patterson tallied 10 steals, followed by
Breesia Northern and
Kayla Gairns with four each.
The Red Hawks will play their next game on the road against Southern Oregon on November 8th.
