ANGWIN, Calif. - The Women's Volleyball Team was on the road this week, facing Pacific Union in a doubleheader dominated by the Red Hawks.
SU took game one in three straight sets, winning all three by at least 10 points.Â
Simpson racked up 40 kills between the three sets.
Kendall Welpott had 10, followed by
Rebecca Drinkwater with seven and
Tiana Nihipali with six.
Maddie Adams tallied 17 digs for game one, followed by
Kierssa Hogan with 11 and
Tiana Nihipali with seven.Â
Game two ended in the same fashion as the first, three straight sets won by Simpson.
The Red Hawks had their best set in the first with 11 unanswered points that allowed them to take command and win it, 25 to six.
The other two sets were won by at least eight points.Â
SU had 37 team kills.
Pryce Ihu tallied 10, followed by
Kendall Welpott with seven and Maria Arrendondo with six.
The Red Hawks will play their next game on October 30, at home, against UC Merced.Â
