Box Score 4 REDDING, Calif. - Simpson U women's volleyball team embarked on a four-game road trip last weekend and picked up victories in three of its four matches.
The Red Hawks went into unfriendly territory and played their best stretch of the season so far recording huge five-set upsets against UAV and Providence Christian. SU also swept West Coast Baptist in the only non-conference match of the road trip.
Throughout the journey, SU got impressive performances across the board in some incredibly meaningful matches.
Kendall Welpott recorded over 20 kills in each of the two five-set victories,
Kayla Somontan notched 19 kills and 26 kills in that same stretch, and
Maddie Adams racked up 16 and 26 digs leading Simpson defensively.
There were also important plays made by Price Ihu, TianaNihipali,
Jessica Stanley,
Rebecca Drinkwater,
Emily Hansen, and many others that were factors in the Red Hawks' success this past week.
