REDDING, Cali. -Â After a 4-point deficit at halftime, Simpson men's basketball outscored William Jessup 46-44 in the second (half), but fell short 89-87.
For not playing a single game over the past three months, the Red Hawks got a strong offensive effort from senior Dylan Banks, who scored a team high 25 points and 6 assists. In his first game back in a Red Hawk uniform, senior JT Branch notched a double double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Senior guard Brcyen Wight posted 17 points.
With four seconds left on the clock, the Red Hawks forced William Jessup into a turnover that led to a last second, half court shot by sophomore Mason Johnson that nearly went in. This led to a Warriors victory.Â
