Women's Soccer Begin Season 2-0 for the First Time Since 2009

REDDING, Calif. - The start to the 2019 women's soccer season has been one of the best in program history. The Red Hawks began the season Friday with a 5-0 win over Multnomah and then followed it up with a 5-0 win over Mills College.

Simpson keeper, Alison Harvey recorded her second straight clean sheet in between the posts for the Red Hawks. Freshman, Caroline Forseth tallied her second and third goals of the season in her brace against the Cyclones. Midfielder, Sandy Lule, was finding teammates all over the pitch for chances, recording a pair of assists finding Ana Sofia de Pablos and Sara Hernandez.

In just two games, Simpson has scored more goals than they have in each season since the 2015 season.

A tough test looms for SU, as the Red Hawks will face Menlo College on the road on September 7th with kickoff set for 11 am.
