REDDING, Calif. - This past week, Simpson women's volleyball competed in the SOU Invite and a doubleheader against New Hope Christian College.
Despite putting up a fight in the SOU tournament, the Red Hawks began the season 0-4. SU took a set off of Northwest Christian and was within four points in eight of the 13 sets.
Head Coach,
Mike Haworth, tallied his first career wins against New Hope Christian as the Red Hawks won the first match in a three set sweep and then again in a five-set thriller.
The Red Hawks got good performances on the weekend from numerous players including,
Marianne Soria,
Lily Johnson, and
Jessica Stanley.
SU will face Menlo College on August 24th on the road in Atherton, California with first serve set at 2 PM.
