REDDING, Calif. - The Simpson Red Hawks softball team finds themselves in a familiar position following the Cal Pac Conference season as SU locked up the second seed in the conference tournament after sweeping Embry-Riddle.
The Red Hawks recognized their two seniors,
Danielle Kranz and
Madison Wright before the first game of the series, and the two seniors were vital in the Simpson sweep of ERAU. Kranz twirled a gem on Senior Day finishing the game only allowing two hits in the game one victory on the weekend.
SU built off of that game one momentum and finished games two and four the exact same way, on a walk off wild pitch that scored the winning runs.
Postseason play gets underway Thursday as Simpson University hosts the Cal Pac Championships and the Red Hawks face Embry-Riddle in the first round at 12:30 pm on May 2nd at the Simpson Softball Field.
