EL CAJON, Calf. - The week long spring break road trip continued to El Cajon, as the Red Hawks faced the Hawks of San Diego Christian College for a doubleheader on Wednesday. Simpson dominated both games one and two with the finals ending up 9-3, 6-2.
Mia Olvera began the game for Simpson with a bang: a three run bomb to give SU a 3-0 lead in the 2nd inning. San Diego Christian battled to tie the game heading into the late innings, but the Red Hawks put the opener away with three runs in the 6th inning and three runs in the 7th inning. Olvera brought in a total of six RBIs in the game one victory, while going 4-5 at the plate.
Madison Wright and
Alison Harvey each recorded three hits too for the Red Hawks and combined for three runs scored.
Sydney Moorhead came out of the bullpen for SU shut down San Diego Christian and pick the win, her 11th of the year.
Game two was more of the same for Simpson as the Red Hawks manufactured a run in the 3rd inning, but still found themselves trailing 3-1 heading into the 7th inning. More late inning magic for the SU bats as the Red Hawks had five runs come across in the top of the 7th to close the door on SDCC.

Emily Fuller all recorded two hits and the four through eight batters all tallied a run batted in.
Simpson has won its last three games and will look to continue the hot streak facing Saint Katherine College with a doubleheader beginning at 12 pm.
