REDDING, Calif. - Simpson University women's basketball fell at home to Antelope Valley in the regular season finale, 58-47.

With the 4 seed already locked up in the Cal Pac, the Red Hawks set out to compete against UAV on what was virtually a non-conference game.

SU struggled to get anything to go from the field, shooting just 31 percent on the night including 5 of 26 from beyond the arc.  The Red Hawks couldn't find a way to get the lid of the rim most of the evening. Five seniors were celebrated on Senior Night including Shayla Smothers, who grabbed a season-high 14 rebounds alongside seven points.

Simpson finishes conference at 9-5, one of the best finishes in Simpson history.

The Red Hawks will head to Lancaster, Calif. for the Cal Pac Championships as Simpson will face Embry-Riddle in the semifinal on Saturday, February 23rd 6:30 pm.
