REDDING, Calif. - In their second home game of the season the Red Hawk Volleyball team faced off against the top team in the conference, Embry Riddle. The Eagles took the match in straight sets 25-18, 25-13, 25-23.

Simpson struggled offensively against the Eagles tall front row hitting just .048 on the night. Despite their offensive woes the Red Hawks played excellent defense. The Red Hawks out dug the Eages 51-50 and matched on blocks 6-6. Miranda Cook was a bright spot for the Red Hawk offense tallying 7 kills on 19 attempts. Ashley Cervantes and Marianne Soria also continue to shine. Cervantes totaled 17 assists and 11 digs on the night while Soria racked up 14 digs of her own.

The Red Hawks hit the road for their next two matches as they travel to Southern California. They'll take on La Sierra on September 27th and Marymount on September 29th.
