RANCHO PALOS VERDES, Calif. - The Red Hawks began Cal Pac play this weekend with a four game series with the Marymount Mariners, winning three of the four games.

Sydney Moorhead pitched marvelously in her two outings, one of which she recorded a five inning, one-hit shutout en route to winning Cal Pac Pitcher of the Week. Mia Olvera swung a hot bat all weekend tallying nine hits in the four games receiving Cal Pac Player of the Week honors. Hailee Nichols provided a big lift out of the bullpen this weekend recording a save and five inning win in relief.

Simpson quickly jumps to first place lead in the Cal Pac in pursuit of another Cal Pac regular season championship at 3-1. Simpson won't get back into conference play until Thursday, March 29th in Arizona against Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
