REDDING, Calif. -- The Red Hawks took on visiting Northwest Christian University in a double header Monday afternoon taking down the Beacons 12-5 and 9-1.
Danielle Kranz took the mound in game one for the Red Hawks pitching two and a third before getting pulled. Sydney Moorehead took over and shut the Beacon offense down not allowing a runner in the final four and two thirds.
Madison Wright went a perfect 4-4 in game one, scoring twice and knocking in two.
Mazzie Davies added 2 hits and 2 runs of her own while
Alexis Parras went 2-3 driving in a pair.
Game two started off with a bang as the Red Hawks scored four runs on four hits in the bottom of the first. Simpson continued to pour it on scoring two more in the second and third innings. Moorehead put the final nail in the coffin driving in Taylor Zazueta in the bottom of the fifth.
Hailee Nichols was dominant in the second half of the double hitter allowing just one run on five hits, fanning three.Â
