MERCED, Calif. -- Simpson started hot against UC Merced winning set one, 25-22 but couldn't keep pace with the Bobcats losing the next three 25-19, 25-13, 25-12.

In their final game as a Red Hawk, Ashley Cervantes and Ashley Job led the Simpson offense with 11 and 5 kills respectively. Cervantes also tallied 17 digs on the night while Marianne Soria added 18 of her own. In their last match with the Bobcats Miranda Cook and Ashley Collins totaled 26 kills, but were held quiet in the rematch each only finishing with two.

Graduating their top three hitters, the Red Hawks will look to rebuild as they head into the offseason.
