REDDING, Calif. - Simpson University men's basketball kept the hot start rolling on Monday night against Portland Bible College, in a 101-83 win.
The Red Hawks turned up the heat from the tip on defense by putting pressure on in the backcourt. Forcing many turnovers, Simpson got out and run resulting in some showtime plays including highlight dunks and alley-oops.
After the game remained close the first five minutes of the contest, Simpson's offense caught fire in a hurry in all facets.
Blake Trent led SU in scoring with 17 points, knocking down five threes in 11 attempts while
Tiyon Martin was the man setting up various Red Hawks for easy looks finishing with nine assists.
Twelve different players got in on the scoring action, resulting in 56 bench points the most by the Red Hawks in over seven years.
The Red Hawks will head to the Aloha State to taking on NCAA DII, Hawaii at Hilo for a pair of games beginning on Nov. 15th at 9:30 pm PT.
