REDDING, Calif. -  Playing on home court for the first time in two weeks, Simpson started out hot. Despite the great start, the Red Hawks fell to Marymount California University, three sets to one. The first set was a back and forth battle, with Simpson coming out on top, 33-31. However, the Mariners responded by taking the next three sets: 25-19, 25-13, 25-15.

Simpson showed strength and competitiveness, but Marymount capitalized on too many opportunities, ultimately giving them the win.

Libero, Marianne Soria, led the team with 26 digs. Ashley Cervantes followed with 14. Both Ashley Collins and Ashley Cervantes recorded 12 kills, followed closely behind by Ashley Job with 9 kills.

Simpson will be back at home on Friday, October 26th, at 4 pm
