COLLEGE PLACE, Wash.- Simpson University women's basketball has hit the ground running to begin the 2018-19 season with two consecutive wins against Walla Walla University on the road.
The Red Hawks won game one 77-45 and game two 101-63. The uptempo pace of play allowed the Red Hawks to score in the triple digits for the first time in over 15 years.
Simpson had three players in double figures in game one, but had five in game two.
Estella Gutierrez, 
Madison Cox, and 
Kelsie Jurin were the only players to finish in double figures for both games. Gutierrez had 15 points, five assists, and six steals to headline the Simpson stat line.
The Red Hawks will head back up north to face NCAA opponent, Portland State University in an exhibition affair on October 26th at 6 pm.
