Vallejo, Calif. -- Fallon Greenhaw took over Saturday night scoring 23 of the Red Hawks 60 points as they defeated Cal Maritime 60-49. Simpson was firing on all cylinders as they shut down the Keelhaulers, holding them to just 29% from the field and 23.5% from beyond the arc. The Keelhaulers came out hot to start the game leading 21-15 at the end of the first quarter. The Red Hawks would step up in quarter two, holding Maritime to just 8 points on 3 field goals including an eight minute scoring drought to end the first half. 

Simpson was efficient from the floor all night, shooting a season high 26-47 from the floor. While Greenhaw was the only Red Hawk in double figures Simpson saw valuable minutes from guards Lexi Thompson and Whitney Armstrong who finished with 9 and 7 points respectively and bigs Smothers and Cooper who combined for 8 points and 16 rebounds.The Red Hawks ball control improved again tonight as they gave the ball up just 16 times in the contest.

Game Notes:
Greenhaw became just the third women's basketball player to break the 1000 point mark, following in the footsteps of Esther Wofford and Nichole Jones.
Simpson attacked the boards holding the Keelhaulers to just 26 rebounds. This is the fewest rebounds they've allowed since allowing 23 against Embry Riddle nearly a year ago.

With this win Simpson finishes up their longest road trip of the season. They head home for a two-game home stand against Embry Riddle on Thursday the 25th and Benedictine-Mesa on Saturday the 27th.
