CHICO, Calif. - A four game win streak came to an end when the Red Hawks found themselves on the wrong side of a three set sweep against D II opponent, Chico State.
The Wildcats, who were coming off a pair of losses, got back on the winning side with a dominating performance winning in three sets: 25-9, 25-12, 25-15.
Simpson finished the match with a season low 15 kills, but were led by
Ashley Job again, who was coming off a monster weekend at the Mills College tournament in Oakland.
Madison Stouder and
Sara Salmon shared the setting duties combining for 13 assists, while Salmon also drilled four kills for the Red Hawks.
Marianne Soria led SU in digs with 5 as
Alexis Rodrigues and
Ashley Job each recorded 4.
The Red Hawks will begin conference play this Friday, September 15th as they take on La Sierra University at 4:30 pm.
