Free throw shooting played a factor for the Red Hawks as they shot a proficient 19 of 22 from the line. Defensively, Simpson held the Pioneers to 40 percent shooting from the field.
With the win, Simpson snaps an eight game losing streak and improves to 1-0 in conference play. The Red Hawks have little time to celebrate facing Chico State on the road on December 19th at 5:30 pm
