RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Simpson men's basketball's strong defensive 2nd half led the Red Hawks to a 69-60 win over La Sierra University.

The Red Hawks record just their second win of the year and their first road win of the season.

Josh Brakkee led the Red Hawks with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Simpson received a nice performance from Ruben Nwando off the bench who finished with 14 points.

The Red Hawks have been plagued by injuries most of the last two seasons, but with their bench beginning to produce, Simpson will be much deeper when they are at full strength.

Simpson will look ahead to a road matchup with Antelope Valley on January 7th at 7:30 pm in the Pioneer Event Center.
