REDDING, Calif. - The Red Hawks split games with Corban University in their first double header of the season.
Game 1:
In game one the Red Hawks came away with a 4-1 victory on the shoulders of an outstanding performance from sophomore
Cody Coggins. Coggins had a no-hitter going through six before allowing 2 hits and Corban's only run in the seventh. He was relieved by
Ryan Holmes who would finish out the game, recording the Red Hawks first save of the year. The Red Hawk offense came alive in their first game of the season combining for 4 runs on 14 hits and receiving RBIs from
Aaron Curfman (1),
Michael Carlos (1), and
Chase Dillon (2).

Game 2:
The Red Hawks were plagued by errors in the outfield and could not muster the same offensive fire power as they did in game one. Simpson would only tally 4 hits and 1 run which came in the bottom of the fourth on a 6 pitch walk to Rath Mosely with the bases loaded. The Warriors tallied 11 hits and 6 runs, only 2 of which would be earned. The Red Hawks struggled defensively as they committed 8 errors and would go on to lose 6-1.
