ANGWIN, Calif. - Simpson University Red Hawks women's basketball excels on the road with a 72-50 victory over Pacific Union College.
The Red Hawks improve to 10-11 overall and 3-2 in the Cal Pac. Pacific Union College slips to 0-5 in conference play.
Simpson dominated on the glass recording 45 team rebounds, a plus 27 advantage over the Pioneers. The Red Hawks also recorded a season-high 20 points off turnovers.
Simpson lead from the opening tip and was quarterbacked by a 17 point, six rebound performance from
Whitney Rodriguez. Â
Esther Wofford added 16 points along with 11 rebounds to tally her first double-double of the year.
Kelsie Jurin finished with 10 points of the bench.
The Red Hawks look to gain momentum in the playoff hunt with a matchup with UC Merced on January 19th at 5:30 pm.
