Men's Soccer Drops Season Opener to OIT

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - The Simpson University men's soccer team dropped their season opener to Oregon Institute of Technology by a score of 4-0.  

The Hustlin' Owls quickly got into a rhythm, scoring first in the 8th minute and then also in the 43rd minute to take a commanding 2-0 lead before the half.  Simpson goalkeeper Michael Jones had seven of his 12 saves in the first 45 minutes.

Oregon Tech began right where they left off with back to back goals from Brennan Gazdik in the 48th and 53rd minute.

The Red Hawks play their home opener at the Simpson Soccer Field on Thursday, August 25th against Multnomah University. Kick-off is set for 2:00 pm.
