Simpson Baseball falls to Corban

SALEM, Ore.- The Red Hawks were back in action on Saturday against the Warriors from Corban Univeristy. The teams would only be able to get one of the two scheduled games in due to weather and it was the Warriors who controlled the game from the beginning handing the Red Hawks a 10-0 loss.

The Warriors scored early as the once in the first, second and third innings before scoring five times in the fourth inning to make it 8-0. The Red Hawks on the other hand could only manage two hits for the entire game with Warriors starter Rilyn Lewchuk allowing just one hit and walking only one batter in seven inning.

The Warriors would close out the game scoring once in the sixth and once in eighth inning to secure the decisive 10-0 win. 

Red Hawk starter Humberto Solorio is the loser allowing five runs on ten hits in 3.2 innings. 

The Red Hawks two hits came form Aaron Curfman who singled in the fourth inning and Jarrett Kirby who also singled his came in the eighth inning.

The Red Hawks will look for their bats to come back to life in their next game next Friday, March 18th, when they will travel to Lewiston, Idaho to take on Lewis-Clark State College.
