REDDING, Calif. - Simpson men's soccer falls to the 17th ranked team in the country, Marymount California University, 6-1.

Red Hawks' goalkeeper, Michael Jones, finished with 14 saves. Mitch Boyle scored the only goal for Simpson on a penalty kick in the the 88th minute of play.

Simpson recorded a season-high 6 yellow cards for the game.

The Mariners received a hat trick from Danny McCarthy and two goals from Oriol Morego Lopez.

Simpson falls to 1-3 in conference and 3-8 overall. The Red Hawks willl look ahead to a fixture with Sierra Nevada College on October 8th in Incline Village. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
