Women's Basketball Suffers Road Loss at OIT

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - Oregon Tech used a 19-2 run at the end of the first quarter and into the second quarter to turn a 12-12 tie into a game where the Simpson women's basketball team would struggle the rest of the night to keep up with the Owls. OIT scored an 80-51 win in non-conference action Tuesday.

Kelsie Jurin led the Red Hawks with 17 points and was the only SU player to reach double figures. Emma Limburg and Fallon Greenhaw each tallied nine points. Limburg's three-pointer with 6:59 to play in the first quarter gave Simpson its only lead of the night. Esther Wofford scored just three points, but led the team with six rebounds and four assists.

Simpson plays the first of a three-game homestand Wednesday, Nov. 25 vs. Corban at 3:00 p.m. prior to the Thanksgiving break.
